1985 Metalu JADE 42

This solid world class aluminum cruiser is being sold due to health reasons, but was out doing what an expedition quality sailboat should until the owner was forced to put it on the hard. With a little elbow grease and some updated electronics, you can pick up right where he left off... go anywhere you want... high latitudes, cross oceans, make it to the tropics, spend all the time you want in the Caribbean (which is only about two days sail from the boat's current position). The shoal draft combined with the swing keel open up almost every bay and ocean for your exploration.

This vessel features a swing keel for point close to the wind, multiple sails (fair condition) a Yanmar 57HP engine, radar, gps, auto pilot, etc. With a little bottom paint and maybe some hull and deck paint, you're ready to go for years to come.

Sail in any conditions operating from the lower helm, a rarity on a sloop rig, but a testament to Metalu's innovative design. Or operate from the exterior helm under the hardtop that also houses solar panels.
